History of Limited Papers
Limited Papers was founded in 1986 by Fried and Rubin.
“We used to be printers in New York City, and we always ran into problems getting small amounts of paper. We were forced to buy full cartons of paper, often ten times the number of sheets we actually needed. The balance usually became a dust collectorntil it ended up in the recycling bin.”
Fried and Rubin looked for a better solution, but the few options available proved impractical or costly.
There was one vendor who would sell you small lots of paper, but offered no credit, no deliveryo service what so ever. To purchase a small order of paper, you had to hire a messenger to come to your place, pick up a check, take it to the vendor, pick up the paper and bring it back to your place. There went a nice chunk of your profit.
The partners saw a genuine need for a small order paper merchant who offered customer service, credit and delivery. Realizing such a business could be successful, they formed Limited Papers.
Limited Papers began by carrying a few popular items such as Strathmore, Scott and NCR. Direct mail promotions brought the company to the attention of printing brokers, and soon the word spread. A reputation for service excellence in the printing industry attracted leading paper mills; Limited Papers provided an effective showcase for their products. LP started receiving not only access to most leading mills, but also discounts and special order arrangements that were then passed on to customers.
Responding to consumer demand, Limited Papers has since grown steadily in size, inventory and services to become one of the largest and best small quantity paper merchants in the country. Limited Papers currently stocks close to 4000 items and offers a wide variety of services, including custom cutting, scoring and perforating.

Indianapolis Schools
Indianapolis Schools make up the state’s largest school district. Recently Indianapolis Schools have been the focus of a reform package designed to target struggling schools in the state. Due to its immense size, the superintendent has implemented strict reforms that can control and equalize the pacing of individual Indianapolis Schools. However, this most recent motion to tack on an extra 25 days at the end of the year has been met with opposition from all sides.
The Indianapolis Public Schools Teachers Union has expressed displeasure at this development. The extra school days would apply to only four Indianapolis Schools that are believed to be in jeopardy. The progress of each Indianapolis School has been tracked in accordance to the No Child Left Behind Act, which requires annual evidence of improvement.
If no evidence is produced then, according to the act, the schools must be shut down. The progress of the four Indianapolis Schools did not reach necessary standards. In a last ditch attempt to save these schools the superintendent hastily produced an unpopular extension of the school year.
Teachers were informed that they would be required to work the extra days or transfer to different Indianapolis Schools. Because of the time constraints, many teachers feel that the situation was handled poorly and that the information dispensed too late. The extra days, scheduled to begin July 23, would sabotage many summer plans for the teachers in these Indianapolis Schools. Overall there is a general consensus that the situation had been poorly and thoughtlessly handled by the school boards.
This is not the first sweeping reform to target Indianapolis Schools. In the past, the superintendent has advocated standardized tests and restricted teaching methods. These programs were completed in keeping with the standards reform that continues to invade districts across the nation. Teachers in these Indianapolis Schools complied with both constraints and reforms in action if not enthusiasm.
But this most recent dictate has many teachers complaining loudly. The Indianapolis Public School Teachers Union has appealed their case to a state board. They hope that the ruling will favor elimination of the extra school days proposal. Indianapolis Schools may be struggling, but teachers feel that something should have been done sooner to reverse the pattern of failure. Teachers feel that time is running and have asked that their case be moved to top priority. A decision must be made before the start date of extra days begins on July 23.
Aside from the reaction of the teachers, Indianapolis Schools saw the effect this decision would have on students and parents. Since the extra days would benefit struggling students, parents were able to see the positive aspects of this initiative. Many parents viewed the extended school year as a small inconvenience in exchange for the survival of their Indianapolis Schools. Yet other working parents expressed relief at having somewhere structured for children to go over the summer. All sides agree that Indianapolis Schools need to address similar issues before they occur to prevent another similar fiasco.

Bulb shapes, sizes, and terms
Incandescent light(3528 SMD Flexible Strip with Non-waterproof 5 Meters 150 LEDS) bulbs come in a range of shapes and sizes. The names of the shapes may be slightly different in some regions. Many of these shapes have a designation consisting of one or more letters followed by one or more numbers, e.g. A55 or PAR38. The letters represent the shape of the bulb. The numbers represent the maximum diameter, either in 1⁄8 of an inch, or in millimetres, depending on the shape and the region. For example, 63 mm reflectors are designated R63, but in the U.S. they are known as R20 (2.5 in). However, in both regions, a PAR38 reflector is known as PAR38. In Australia an R80 is 1 in in diameter.

Reflector (R)
Reflective coating inside the bulb directs light forward. Flood types (FL) spread light. Spot types (SP) concentrate the light. Reflector (R) bulbs put approximately double the amount of light (foot-candles) on the front central area as General Service (A) of same wattage.

Parabolic aluminized reflector (PAR)
Parabolic aluminized reflector (PAR) bulbs control light more precisely.
They produce about four times the concentrated light intensity of general service (A), and are used in recessed and track lighting. Weatherproof casings are available for outdoor spot and flood fixtures.

230 V sizes: Par 38, 56 and 64
Available in numerous spot and flood beam spreads. Like all light bulbs, the number represents the diameter of the bulb in 1⁄8 of an inch. Therefore, a PAR 16 is 2 in in diameter, a PAR 20 is 2.5 in in diameter, PAR 30 is 3.75 in and a PAR 38 is 4.75 in in diameter.

Very small lamps may have the filament support wires extended through the base of the lamp, and can be directly soldered to a printed circuit board for connections. Some reflector-type lamps include screw terminals for connection of wires. Most lamps have metal bases that fit in a socket to support the lamp and conduct current to the filament wires. In the late 19th century, manufacturers introduced a multitude of incompatible lamp bases. General Electric introduced standard base sizes for tungsten incandescent lamps under the Mazda trademark in 1909. This standard was soon adopted across the United States, and the Mazda name was used by many manufacturers under license through 1945. Today most incandescent lamps for general lighting service use an Edison screw in candelabra, intermediate, or standard or mogul sizes, or double contact bayonet base. Bayonet base lamps are frequently used in automotive lamps to resist loosening due to vibration. A bipin base is often used for halogen or reflector lamps.
Lamp bases may be secured to the bulb with a cement, or by mechanical crimping to indentations molded into the glass bulb.

Miniature lamps used for some automotive lamps or decorative lamps have wedge bases that have a partial plastic or even completely glass base. In this case, the wires wrap around to the outside of the bulb, where they press against the contacts in the socket. Miniature Christmas bulbs use a plastic wedge base as well.
Lamps intended for use in optical systems (such as film projectors, microscope illuminators, or stage lighting instruments have bases with alignment features so that the filament is positioned accurately within the optical system. A screw-base lamp may have a random orientation of the filament when the lamp is installed in the socket.
